Roseline Coffee
About This Spot
Roseline Coffee feels like a quietly spirited retreat nestled within the pulse of southeast Portland. From the moment you step inside, there’s an inviting hush paired with an artful nod to the past — retro wallpaper, generous natural light, and high ceilings that soften the bustle outside. It’s a place where moments stretch comfortably, whether you’re settling into a cozy booth for an intimate conversation or finding a corner to quietly work with your laptop.
The pace here is unhurried but never stagnant. Staff members contribute to the warm atmosphere with approachable friendliness, making the space feel less like a typical coffee spot and more like a thoughtfully frequented local nook. There’s a steady hum of casual chatter that blends effortlessly with curated music and the occasional clink of ceramic cups, inviting you to pause and simply be present.
At Roseline, coffee is treated with a considered balance — from carefully extracted drip brews that reveal bright, nuanced flavors, to enticing espresso blends that can power both a productive morning or a slow afternoon break. The drink menu offers familiar favorites alongside a subtle sense of discovery, with rotating single origins and freshly brewed selections that encourage asking questions and seeking recommendations. Alongside this, the presence of teas and draft kombucha adds layers to the experience, enhancing the feeling of a place attentive to varied tastes and thoughtful offerings.
Seating options—both indoors and outdoors—embrace a community vibe, catering to individuals and groups looking to work, chat, or simply sip thoughtfully for a little while. The abundance of plants and careful design touches gently transport visitors away from the city’s rush, inviting calm and connection.
Roseline Coffee wears its charm quietly, offering more than just caffeine. It’s a spot where you can find a well-poured latte, a flaky pastry to accompany it, and a welcoming space that feels alive yet serene — a small corner of Portland that honors the craft of coffee with heart and presence.

Really cool little coffee shop. Clean, friendly, good music, central location and strong wi-fi. The cinnamon streusel cake was seriously delicious, however the miso-pumpkin latte was almost inedible (undrinkable) with how salty it was. Which I know miso is really salty naturally, but it was really overwhelming. Again, cool place, good food and good looking lattes, this one just didn’t land.

There's a lot of places you can get decent espresso, but I just wanted to point out that the drip coffee is actually good. Well balanced, flavorful, strong-- not motor-oil-esque. I feel like it's rare for a coffee shop to care about their drip. So, kudos to Roseline Coffee.

We were met with friendly staff and good lattes. We enjoyed the art deco setting. Booth seating with walls allows for easy conversation... and the wallpaper was fun, fun, fun!! My easy-going husband agreed to model. That's when you know the coffee was good.

Love the vibes of this coffee shop. It has indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of spots for small groups of those looking to work/study. Some street parking available but can be spotty. Inside are high ceilings, great natural light, and retro-feeling decor. Definitely felt like I was not necessarily in the city anymore, as there were lots of lovely plants all over. The mocha that I ordered was tasty and I would for sure stop in here again. Staff were also attentive and friendly.

Good coffee, very cute location. Got the batch brew, it was very fruity and well-extracted. Love the location, the theming is on-point and the design is super cute. The inside is spacious and there's tons of seating to chill at. They've got quite the selection of pastries as well! Quick service--great spot for a grab-n-go or to sit and work!

Pricey but delicious coffee. I'm not in this neighborhood very much anymore due to moving jobs, but when I was around more often, this would be a good place to get breakfast and caffeine in the morning. It can get a bit busy and it's hard to park in the direct area, but the place is worth checking out. Trendy vibes, creative flavors. Pretty typical Portland coffee shop but they do it well.
